Regulatory (Compliance) Manager – Henderson, NV

We are currently expanding globally, and we are looking to add to our compliance team:

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be a strong compliance leader with experience to establish and run a best-in-class global compliance program. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Lithion Battery products are compliant to global market requirements, including industry certifications, government regulations, and directive requirements, such as CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, CA Prop 65, Conflict Minerals. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is highly collaborative in nature and the individual will develop, optimize, and maintain the necessary processes and systems to ensure that Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Procurement departments maintain the necessary processes, procedures, and documentation to adhere to all regulatory and certification requirements. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will work with Global Sales and Distribution Offices as well as Manufacturing sites to understand, establish, and maintain product compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead a best-in-class global compliance program for Lithion Battery and related businesses; implement and maintain a system for collecting, storing, and analyzing compliance data for Lithion Battery products.
  • Subject matter expert on all certifications and regulations that apply to Lithion Battery products; track and understand both existing and emerging compliance practices and standards and how they apply, research new compliances as they emerge.
  • Own Environmental Regulatory Compliances such as RoHS, REACH, CA Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals Reporting; work with internal supply chain team and external data collection agencies to gather compliance information from vendors and make determinations on our products.
  • Own Performance and Safety Certifications for both industry and country specific compliances, such as CE, UL, CSA, etc.; work with resale vendors to obtain certification documentation.
  • Provide leadership to compliance operations including the development and distribution of written standards of conduct, policies and procedures that promote the organization’s commitment to compliance;
  • Ensure the correct rules and procedures are in place for marketing and shipping Omega products internationally;
  • Ensure appropriate enterprise-wide policy execution, staff education, investigations of alleged regulatory and policy violations, compliance monitoring, and auditing;
  • Provide real-time guidance to business unit leadership related to the translation of regulatory requirements and changes;
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Knowledgeable of federal and state compliance laws and regulations, ISO enforcement methods, and other applicable federal and state compliance guidance, as well as industry best practices in compliance;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, and other environmental compliance regulations for industrial and/or consumer electronics products and 5 years of experience with product certification (UL, CE, ATEX) requirements and approval submissions for industrial and/or consumer electronic products;
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex state and federal compliance laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines; perform research analysis of laws, regulations, and policies;
  • Experience in executing compliance programs.
