POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Product Engineering, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing electrical designs, supporting product releases for Lithion Battery’s goals and objectives.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports electronic circuit life cycle
  • Battery Management System (BMS) design, development, and support 
  • Collaborates with Engineering team on design of new products
  • PCBA layout and design using Altium Designer or Cadence OrCad
  • Participates in electrical/electronic hardware design reviews and validation
  • Performs Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) of circuits
  • Supports quality team in failure analysis and development of corrective actions
  • Provides technical support for electrical/electronic testing as assigned
  • Maintains high Engineering Design Standards
  • Performs other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited/equivalent university
  • Minimum 8+ years’ product design engineering experience 
  • Familiarity with battery management system firmware design, validation, and implementation.
  • Strong aptitude in reading schematics and diagnosing/troubleshooting electronic assemblies, systems, and software
  • Experience with CAN, RS485, and external interfaces are required
  • Experience with debugging electronics using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with Project/Issue management tools 
  • Proficiency in soldering electronics assemblies (through-hole and surface mount)
  • Experience and proficiency with the Altium Designer and similar products
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
