Technical Sales Manager – Northern Ireland

We are currently expanding globally, and we are looking to add to our Technical Sales team:

The Technical Sales Manager will provide technical services and systems to our customers to promote and sell technical projects for the organization. The Technical Sales Manager evaluates and provides analysis to management for new projects and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive sales success through the maintenance and growth of our existing customer base and the addition of new customers, including the sale of existing and new products;
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts/market contacts and tracks field activities in CRM;
• Foster positive and effective relationships with our customers;
• Perform market analysis of key customers in specific markets, leading to qualification and new customer generation; key competitors in specific markets, leading to product development feedback into New Product Implementation and key growth sectors;
• Lifetime analysis of key customer accounts to determine trends, pricing, customer requirements;
• Reach business targets through creation of sales leads, answering incoming calls from prospective clients and following up on leads;
• Receive inbound prospect calls and emails, answer questions and offer suggestions based on a thorough knowledge of the product line;
• Qualify lead prospects and processing, lead development through to commercial opportunity;
• Prepare contract and bids when required;
• Allocate tasks such as updates, bids, customer communications etc., ensuring deadlines are met and shared within the assigned timeframe;
• Lead project management of new business opportunities;
• Lead technical investigations, internal and external when required;
• Prepare monthly progress reports, monthly itinerary, weekly call reports, ensuring timely completion and according to the criteria established for measuring sales success;
• Escalate any issues and concerns through established reporting lines;
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Key Competencies:
• Technical degree or diploma is an asset but not a requirement;
• 3 years sales experience;
• Results focused and deadline driven ensuring that tasks are prioritized, diarized, actioned, reviewed and follow-up in a timely manner;
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written;
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Target selection – both opportunity and team revenue focused;
• Strong problem solving and application engineering skills;
• Proactively seeks areas of improvement, allocates time and resources accordingly;
• Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills ethically and with integrity;
• Flexible and adaptable; willing to assist the team with tasks outside normal scope of responsibility with the common goal of revenue growth for maximum benefit;
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve set deadlines;
• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM experience;
