Proprietary to Lithion and fully developed in the U.S., the XB BMS combines in-house hardware and firmware engineering to deliver advanced monitoring, protection, and communication for systems ranging from 12 V to 1500 V.

  • Tailored for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry
  • Can operate packs and strings in series and parallel configuration
  • Designed in system redundancy for assured operations
  • Controls up to 5 system and 3 string-level contactors
  • Monitors up to 64 modules (12–48 V each) with 8 temperature sensors per module
  • High-accuracy measurements: ±2 mV cell voltage, ±20 mA current
  • Passive cell balancing (250 mA) with heating control
  • Built-in protection for over/under-voltage, isolation, and temperature faults
  • Dual-microcontroller safety with HVIL detection
  • Data logging and event recording via SD card
  • Real-time monitoring: SOC, SOH, cell voltages, and temperature limits
  • Supports multiple communication protocols: CANBus, Ethernet, RS485, Modbus TCP, CANopen
  • Compact, stackable design for integration into battery packs or power distribution units
